Hello everybody and welcome to a new segment we'll be doing on the blog called: 

 

In the Kitchen with O.N.E

Today in the kitchen we are making grilled cheese sandwiches, but this isn't your run of the mill grilled cheese this is O.N.E certified. So enough chit chat let's get started!

 

O.N.E ROSEMARY JACK GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH

SERVINGS:  2

 

INGREDIENTS:

4 SLICES ROSEMARY SOURDOUGH BREAD

BUTTER

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

1 OZ PEPPER JACK CHEESE (SHREDDED)

1 OZ SHARP CHEDDAR MONETERY JACK BLEND (SHREDDED)

1 OZ SMOKED GOUDA CHEESE (OPTIONAL)

1/2 CHICKEN BREAST (OPTIONAL)

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO GET BUSY:

MEDIUM OR LARGE SKILLET (WE PREFER CAST IRON)

STAINLESS STEEL TONGS (MAKES IT EASY FOR FLIPPING YOUR CRISP & BUTTERY BREAD)

 

SHORT BUT SWEET HERE WE GO:


LINE THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SKILLET WITH EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL ON MEDIUM HEAT. BUTTER ONE SIDE OF THE ROSEMARY SOURDOUGH BREAD AND PLACE BUTTER SIDE DOWN ON SKILLET, ADD CHEESE. BUTTER SECOND SLICE OF BREAD LAY BUTTER SIDE UP ON TOP OF SANDWICH. GRILL UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWNED AND FLIP OVER. REPEAT WITH REMAINING BREAD. TO TOP IT OFF, IF YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE MAKING YOUR OWN FRIES, OUR FAVORITE BRAND IS BY ALEXIA FOODS.
